We are committed to the highest standards of data security, honoring the private nature of your marital reflections and journey.
We collect essential account information — your name, email address, and role (husband, wife, or learner) — to set up and personalize your account. Journal entries, gratitude notes, marriage health check responses, and challenge progress you create within the app are stored so you can track your growth over time.
All data collected is used solely to operate the app — to show you your own content, personalize the lessons and Sunnah guidance you see, and connect you with your spouse when you choose to link accounts. Mawaddah is a companion for couples who are already married or engaged; we do not use your data to match you with anyone.
Your trust is our most valuable asset. All traffic between the app and our servers is encrypted (HTTPS), and passwords are never stored in plain text. Personal journal entries are private to you alone; gratitude notes are visible only to the spouse you've connected with.
We maintain a strict "no-sale" policy. Your personal information, reflections, and contact details will never be sold, leased, or traded to third-party advertisers. We use third-party analytics services (such as Firebase Analytics) only in an aggregated, limited form to understand how the app is used and improve it — analytics never include your journal entries, health check answers, or private reflections.
The support section of the app (Profile → Support) is completely private to you. Nothing you read, save, or do there is ever shared with your connected spouse, and it is not included in the couple journal or in any analytics event.
You retain full ownership of your data. At any time, you may edit your profile or permanently delete your account and all associated data through the account settings panel.
Mawaddah is intended for married and engaged couples and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 13.
